Central Maine Custom Log Homes was founded as a separate business entity in 2005 at the same time that we formalized our
relationship as an Independent Representative of REAL LOG HOMES brand log homes.
Except for a brief 3-year hiatus into the world of advertising I have been engaged full time in the log home industry since
1983 as designer, manufacturer's representative, and construction manager. For the past 11 years I have owned and managed
a log home maintenance and construction company called Natural Wood Finishes. Our experiences in the field with all aspects
of design, construction and on-going care were key elements in our decision to become Independent Representatives of the
REAL LOG HOMES brand.
It is important to understand that not all log homes (or log home design "systems") are equal, nor are all builders
worthy of your trust. Having been so deeply involved with the problem solving side of log home construction,
our company decided to carry our mantra of "excellence at every step" into all we do at Central Maine Custom Log Homes.
That decision alone eliminated many log home suppliers and brands from our list, but REAL LOG HOMES soon rose to the top.
We decided to become Independent Representatives of the REAL LOG HOMES brand because we found it to meet our standard of
excellence with no excuses. As a full service general contractor we do not tolerate excuses from our employees or sub-contractors
nor do we make them to our customers.
